Big things happening in the Bay! Label-owner Alland Byallo rocks a new EP titled Patterns of Me. The release is featured in the Minimal section of Beatport. Hot shit!

We've added rising star and proud Dirtybird J. Phlip to our family of artists, as she recently dropped her stunning release for Nightlight, titled Falling Into Place. This release has seen support from so many wonderful DJ's, from Anja Schneider to Laurent Garnier and beyond! Prior to that Kenneth Scott schooled us with his solo debut, The Business, that featured well-supported remixes by Clint Stewart.

Things are poppin! Coming up next is a single from the critically acclaimed duo, Coalition of the Killing (COTK). 3 stellar teched out house tracks coming soon, as NLM17 is about to promo. Following that will be Alland Byallo's album release, titled Brick by Brick. This is Alland's first full-length effort, and it's a mature and groovy affair.

New to the NLMX family is Mike G, of Minneapolis. His upcoming release is a barn-burning, dancefloor eating EP of glitched out, harder, techno. I'd say it's minimal techno, but this stuff is quite maximal. You're going to love it! 2008 was something special here in San Francisco. Every week was filled with great techno and house events, amazing talents from all over the world find their way here more and more frequently, quality music poured out of every nook and cranny of the city, and the word is spreading. People are calling SF the new Berlin, the new epicenter of US techno, and many more wild and wonderful things. Everybody here works hard and it's been great seeing and hearing these fruits of our labor.

Nightlight Music has also seen it's best year ever! Since we opened our virtual doors in 2004, things have been crawling along steadily, and after a brief hiatus we took 2008 on with serious fervor and great dedication. Things are going quite well now! Sales are up and our family is expanding all the time.

The addition of the NLMX sublabel, a free download netlabel, has been a great way to uncover the talents many of these new family members, most of whom are from our glorious little Fog City. To celebrate the holidays this year, NLMX delivers you this solid various artists sampler, with artists from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Nebraska and a special treat from a true house music legend who spends his time between Chicago and San Francisco.

Today's a very big day for the Nightlight Music family, as we have 5 new members! NLMX03 was released today, and it's all about San Francisco on this one!

Mattie Bowen aka Mossmoss provides the much needed heat for rainy and foggy SF with three original tracks, while quickly up-and-coming sound-designer techno badass duo Monocle (Christina Chatfield and Daniel Patterson) flip it in their smokin' vision of the track. Roman Stange is no noob, but he's been back in action lately and pounds out a nice rerub of Glass for us. Travis Dalton, who has been carrying the Nightlight Music affiliation as a DJ for some time now, reworks Glass for this, his debut as a producer.

NLM11, my collaboration with the talented Kenneth Scott, has finally hit retailers and is doing QUITE well! We've already hit the Beatport Top 100 Minimal charts with both of the remixes, and I have a feeling things will only get better. More info on that in the releases section!

Things are heating up in SF! The wonderful people at Love It! Wednesdays are hosting the Nightlight Music label showcase! This great event will take place Wednesday, December 5 at the lovely Icon Lounge in San Francisco. Lee Curtiss, Alland Byallo, Jason Short, Clint Stewart and Kenneth Scott all perform while [KONTROL]'s Sammy D leads the back room into funk and old school territory along with residents Michael Tello and No Battles.
